a native client for tangled

Knoten is an independent app view for Tangled, the social coding platform built on the AT Protocol. Sign in with your atproto account, read your repositories and pull requests, and keep your code on whichever knot hosts it. It is not built by Tangled and it does not use their brand.

In development. The app is not on the App Store yet. This page exists so the sign in flow has a published client identity to point at, and it will grow as the app does.

the client metadata tangled

/what it does

sign in: atproto oauth par, pkce and dpop bound tokens. no app passwords, and the token never leaves the server that issued it.
your account: any pds the account's own server, found from its did document. self hosted included.
your code: any knot repositories stay where they are hosted. the client reads them, it does not move them.
review: stacked pulls round based review, the way tangled models it, instead of one large diff.

/what it costs

The client is free. One purchase unlocks the parts that cost something to run or that only a few people need, and there is a tip jar for everyone who would rather buy a coffee than a licence.

free: the client the feed, your repositories, pull requests and the inbox.
pro: one time custom pds and knots, more than one account, and the ci widgets. the app store shows the price in your currency.
tips: optional three sizes, no subscription, nothing gated behind them.

/the honest state

Signing in works against a published client identity, and reading your repositories works. The feed, the pull request review and the inbox are being built.
